Art & Film: Alice Neel
Presented in partnership with Pentangle Arts
Town Hall Theater, 31 The Green, Woodstock, VT 05091
Showtime: 6:00 PM
Director Andrew Neel creates an intimate portrait of his grandmother, painter Alice Neel, exploring the uncompromising artist behind her psychologically revealing portraits and the complicated family history surrounding her life and work.
Join us for Art & Film, a new collaborative film series presented by Pentangle Arts and the Hall Art Foundation — where cinema meets visual art to spark dialogue, deepen understanding, and celebrate creative expression.
The third Wednesday of every month, we collaborate to bring Art & Film to our community.
Following the screening, stay for an engaging post-film discussion and drinks in the lobby, and the power of art to bring people together. Whether you're an art lover, film buff, or curious mind, come share the experience of how stories behind the art can inspire conversations — just like walking through a gallery.
Each pass gets you admission to all of our monthly Art in Film screenings, 4 general admission Pentangle tickets to other feature films of your choice, a Pentangle coffee mug and tote bag, a Hall Art Foundation publication of your choice, and 2 tickets to visit the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, Vermont for a self-guided visit of the exhibitions and grounds
