Information
Adolf Dietrich is considered one of the leading Swiss painters of the 20th century, yet, strangely, he is also described as a naive artist. Richard Phillips, on the other hand, is a contemporary painter who, with his choice of provocative themes, a unique style, and the intensity of his gigantic compositions, has pushed the boundaries of the medium. Phillips paints portraits based on images from the public art market, while Dietrich's work focuses entirely on the loving depiction of untouched nature. How did this affinity come about?
