Anselm Kiefer : Centre Pompidou, Paris, France
The Centre Pompidou presents a unique exploration of the work of German artist Anselm Kiefer.
This retrospective, the first in France in thirty years, invites visitors to traverse Kiefer's entire career, from the late 1960s to the present day, with 150 works, including some sixty paintings selected from his essential masterpieces. Kiefer's work powerfully invites visitors to discover rich and varied worlds, from the poetry of Celan to the philosophy of Heidegger, from scientific treatises to esotericism. Monumental installations and paintings are displayed alongside works on paper and objects with a more intimate resonance.
