For the first time since receiving the Goslar Kaiserring in 2005, Robert Longo returns to Germany with a solo exhibition. The US multimedia artist, who has garnered attention since the 1970s in the fields of music, film, video, installation, drawing, and sculpture, now works primarily in charcoal drawing. His large-format, photorealistic drawings are based on images from the media world, conveying historical and contemporary socio-political content. This makes Longo one of the most important historical painters of our time.
