Every young visitor must be accompanied by an adult. In the galleries, every young visitor must hold the hand of an adult or remain in their physical control at all times. We do not admit groups with more children than adults without advance written agreement. Any visitors, including children that are loud or disruptive will be asked to leave the galleries immediately. Please consider the suitability of our venue if you would like to bring a child with you.
Our self-guided visits are supplemented with additional information that can be accessed via QR codes installed throughout the exhibitions, free-of-charge. If possible, visitors are encouraged to bring personal smartphones or small tablets, as well as headphones to enhance their experience. A limited number of devices are available for guests who do not already have their own.
All guests have access to our Cafe Lex where refreshments including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, snacks, bottled beverages, wine and coffee are available for purchase. The tables at Cafe Lex are reserved for patrons of the cafe only. Guests who wish to bring a picnic are welcome to enjoy these at the picnic tables located along the walking paths of our extensive grounds.
Our grounds and walking paths are open to everyone — anytime, free of charge. You may encounter slippery leaves, downed trees, mud, or other hazards. Please take caution and enjoy at your own risk. Appropriate dress and footwear are recommended. Leashed dogs are also welcome on our grounds. Please practice Leave No Trace Principles - pack in everything you need, and pack out everything you create - from food wrappers to dog waste. There are no outdoor trash receptacles available.
Private tours for groups of up to 15 people are available for a fixed price of $250. Arrangements must be scheduled in advance. Please contact vermont@hallartfoundation.org
